Restorations

This 656 international restoration was performed for a gentleman who wanted to give his grandfather the joy of seeing his first new tractor restored to its former glory. Decades of farm use had taken its toll on this ole family workhorse.  

Following the normal procedure of a meticulous cleaning, we test all systems to insure properly working components and take an accounting for each nut, bolt and screw, during tear-down and replacing any missing or broken fasteners. Because of a small gas fire in the tractors past, we had to find a replacement fiberglass cowling/hood and completely rewired the electrical system. It was particularly challenging to find a good replacement hood, as they were thinly constructed and prone to cracking. After an exhaustive search we found a satisfactory replacement and added layers of fiberglass mat to the original hood to repair existing cracks and prevent future cracking.
