This 1954 NAA had a gas fire which required some engine seal and gasket replacement due to fire damage. Fortunately the fire was extinguished before any major damage occurred, and it was able to be completely restored to like new condition. The previous years 1953 model, was dubbed the Golden Jubilee as it was Ford’s 50th anniversary model. It featured a special hood medallion and began the new overhead valve engine design with live hydraulics and a factory optional live PTO. It also sported a beautiful vermilion red body with grey sheet metal and wheels.
The live PTO was a rarely installed factory option and involved a piggy back hydraulic pump and special valving on the left hand differential side cover that operated a special internal hydraulic clutch pack. Due to its rarity it later became very hard to find parts for and many were disabled or molested as many times the piggy back pump was unreliable and failed. Due to this we have designed a system that utilizes the live hydraulic pump pressure and eliminates the need for the piggy back pump, which was the weak link in the system.
